Frito Pie
Corn chips, Texas chili, and melty cheese — the fairground and football classic, built to order.
Ingredients
- 6 single-serve bags (or 6 cups) Fritos corn chips
- 4 cups Texas red chili, warm
- 2 cups shredded cheddar
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- Pickled jalapeños
- Sour cream
Method
- For the classic "walking" version, split a bag of Fritos lengthwise and spoon warm chili right in; or layer Fritos in bowls.
- Top with chili, cheddar, onion, and jalapeños.
- Add a dollop of sour cream and eat immediately, while the chips still have crunch.
Assemble to order so the Fritos stay crisp. Pairs with our Texas Red.
